"I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear."
Martin Luther King, Jr. was obviously an amazing character. And if you think about it, that quote is pretty awesome. A view like that would probably make us all happier people. But realistically speaking, how many of us actually have that outlook in life?
I know that my best friend doesn't...this post is actually for her. She's been asking me to write about how people piss her off for the past few days so I thought: why not make her happy?
So I'll share our thoughts here, but then you guys can input why/how/when people piss you off. I guess it'll give us a platform to discuss what annoys us. More than that, it'll give us a chance to introspect and see if sometimes it's our fault as well. Maybe we also have to improve and change ourselves, because after all, no one is perfect!

- Drivers. There are so many people driving that DON'T know how to drive. Seriously, turn on your signals. And then, when you're done turning, turn it off. It's actually quite simple. And don't turn if you see me driving fast...do you really want to die? And seriously, if you're old...stop driving. If you can't see the road, stop driving. It's no excuse. I personally think that everyone should have to retake their road test after a certain number of years because your eyesight has changed, you're grumpy all the time, etc.
- Roommates/housemates/apartment-mates/suitemates. If you delegate tasks from the beginning, I don't understand why people can't just do what they're supposed to. It's usually written on paper. Just re-read it. Make sure you're doing what you have to do. Don't let your friendship with others get ruined because you aren't capable of vacuuming on time, cleaning the bathroom properly, sweeping, etc. It's not a good reason to lose friends...
- People in organizations. Same thing, if you're given a task to accomplish, then do it. Prioritize properly. If you're a part of a team, then show that you really care and you're a good asset to the group. Prove yourself.
- People who don't study & do well. It's just not fair, especially when you're the one trying so hard and not doing well.
- People who think they're amazing. And they're not. It's as simple as that.
- People who lie on their resume. It's illegal, it's not fair, it's stupid, it's pathetic. Don't you agree?
- People who pretend to care & don't. People like you ruin the world, seriously. You make good people trust others less and less, because they aren't able to tell "fake" personalities from "real" personalities.
- People who don't like babies. Yes, people like that exist. It's as if they forgot that they once were babies...
- People who don't respect their parents. The opposite of number 8. It's as if they don't realize that they will one day be parents.
- Teachers who don't really care. ...your job is to teach us. Do it right. Have some passion.
- People who say they're committed when they're really not. You are doing bad for everyone. You aren't helping the group. You aren't helping yourself.
- People who lie for absolutely no reason. Seriously? Grow up.
- People who demean others...based on school, color, race, etc. Once again, GROW UP.
- People who don't act their age. Stop and look around. Is everyone as silly as you? No...so stop.
- People who can't speak up. A lot of my friends fall into this category - that doesn't mean they piss me off. It just means that this one part of their personality pisses me off (out of LOVE of course). I want to help them change and have confidence!
- People who think they're right...when they're wrong.
I could probably think of soooooo many more, but I don't want to write everything. How else will you comment?!
Also, just want to say-I am a very, very happy person despite what this list might make you think! Just wanted to clarify :)
So long <3
Things that piss me off:
ReplyDelete-People who are hypocritical
-People who don't know when to lie and when to say the truth
-People who lead you on, don't...it just hurts someone's feelings. This is not only directed towards my experiences, but my friends as well.
-People who don't listen, don't just nod your head cause i know your ignoring me.
-People who think they can get their way because they are more "popular", "smarter", or "wealthy" than I.
-People who whine because they received everything they ever wanted, and don't get there ways now. Suck it up sweetheart, it's reality.
-People who judge based on some actions, it my life stay out of it.
ill let u know if i think of more :)
I feel like I can add some more to this list also:
ReplyDelete-people who expect to much from others. come on, you won't feel hurt if you don't expect too much.DUH use you brain..it"s there for a reason
-people who don't understand after you have told them once...gosh and then you accuse me of being too critical
-people who don't take the time to make things better and just expect others to do it for them. relationships, whether it's a friendship, a family relation or a work relation, IT'S A 2 WAY TWO WAY STREET! IT ALWAYS IS!!
So, I was pondering over all my thoughts that I just wrote about. I clearly have a lot to work on. I try to see the good in all, but why is it that I find it more and more difficult to control what I think in certain situations?? I hope to discover myself more and more through. Thank you very much! I am going to try and work on seeing the good and not only the bad.
ReplyDeleteomg i hate my laptop because i wrote my post TWICE and it didnt upload it and now im too lazy to type it all out again..thank you god is this uploads!
ReplyDeleteIm focusing only on the things i REALLY hate and have come up recently...
-Huge chemical companies (or the people that run them) that think they can just buy carbon credits to make up for their CO2 emission so they can continue to make millions off of harmful non-essential consumer products that will just end up in the landfill
-People that make women jokes...every joke has an ounce of truth in it so yea deep down you do really think that women cant drive, belong in the kitchen and are overall inferior..and thats fucked up
-People that dont step outside their comfort zone or challenge themselves. How are you going to test yourself without moving out you bubble or family/friends/everyday routine/etc. They'll be there if it doesnt work out, but go do something crazy, it feels amazing
-People that tell me to calm down...im a pretty angry person and getting mad is my way of processing, so telling me to calm down make its worse, alot worse.
To Radhi: ...you mean like go on a roof even if you're afraid of climbing ladders? :) I definitely agree! It's the best way to learn more about yourself and just have fun. And I'll remember to let you get angry to let things process!
ReplyDeleteTo DPat: lol yes, but that may not seem like a challenge to some...i absolutely HATE reading out loud (i get really nervous and self-conscious and stutter even), but one day this semester, I swear I'll volunteer to read a passage in my writing class, and that'll be me doing something 'crazy' ahah
ReplyDeletealso, i dont stay mad long, literally 5 minutes sometimes and then im done so dont worry!
People who get involved when they really shouldn't...it's not your business, stay out of it. Even if it means well, you're probably making things worse.
